The Buddha was a descendent of the Mahasammata dynasty of Kings who ruled from Rajagaha (presenr day Rajgir in Madhya pradesh,India).A descendant of this dynasty was king suddhodana (The future Buddha) was born to queen Maya.prince suddhartha's wife was Yasodara and their son was Rahula.
King Bimbisara and prince siddhartha were friends.King Bimbisara was killed by his son Ajatasttu.
